Replay a Script

After recording a script, replay the script to verify that it replays successfully and performs the steps intended. Analyzing with a script can take quite a bit of time. Doing a dry run of the script first, to ensure that it is correct, can save considerable time if the script is not right. Adjustments can be made to a script by re-recording it or editing individual steps.

Continuous Script Replay

To replay the script continuously without analyzing:

  1. Make sure the Analyze and Record checkboxes are not checked.
  2. Go to the starting page of the script. For example, if the recording started at the home page, return to the home page.
  3. Ensure that the page has been returned to its initial state before the script was recorded (i.e. log out of the system, empty the shopping cart, etc.)
  4. Select the Play button (the blue triangle) included in the Replay toolbar.
  5. A modal dialog will pop up asking if you're sure you want begin script replay; select Begin replay.

The script will begin to play. A notice will appear in the lower right corner of the FireEyes panel that says "Replaying script". This will appear during analysis as well. The webpage view will advance through the webpages and actions in the same order as when the script was recorded.

If the script is correct, you may want to upload the script to a WorldSpace Project to save it before performing further analysis.
